  • 60ml whole wheat flour
  • 3 ml baking powder
  • 1ml Robertsons ground cinnamon
  • 30ml walnuts, finely chopped
  • 60ml low fat milk
  • ½ very ripe banana, mashed
  • Flora oil, for cooking
  • 5g Flora pro-activ
  • Bananas for serving


Place whole wheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon and walnuts in a bowl and stir until combined

2. Add the milk and banana and whisk until the mixture is smooth

3. Leave the mixture to stand for 30 minutes

4. Heat Flora oil in a pan and place spoonfuls of crumpet mixture into the pan and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (bubbles will appear on the surface of the crumpets when they are ready to be turned)

5. Top warm crumpets with Flora pro-activ and serve with sliced banana
